These Terms & Conditions apply to independent engineers and trade businesses accepting customer job introductions from QuickFix-Repairs Ltd (“QuickFix-Repairs”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By accepting a job offered by QuickFix-Repairs, including by replying YES to a job offer sent by SMS or other electronic communication, the Engineer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Our Role
1.1 QuickFix-Repairs operates as an independent booking and introduction service connecting customers requiring trade services with independent engineers and trade businesses.
1.2 QuickFix-Repairs does not employ the Engineer and does not carry out the repair, installation, maintenance, inspection or other trade services provided at the customer's property.
1.3 The Engineer operates independently and is responsible for the services they provide to the customer.
1.4 Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, worker relationship, partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between QuickFix-Repairs and the Engineer.
2. Accepting Jobs
2.1 QuickFix-Repairs may offer jobs to Engineers by telephone, SMS, electronic message or through its internal booking system.
2.2 Job information may include the customer's name, address, contact details, reported issue, required attendance time and the agreed first-hour Engineer charge.
2.3 The Engineer is free to accept or decline any job offered.
2.4 Where the job offer asks the Engineer to reply YES, replying YES constitutes acceptance of that particular job and agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
2.5 Once a job has been accepted, the Engineer should make every reasonable effort to attend within the agreed attendance window.
2.6 If the Engineer becomes unable to attend, they must notify QuickFix-Repairs as soon as reasonably possible so alternative arrangements can be made for the customer.
3. Engineer Charges & Customer Payment
3.1 The Engineer's first-hour charge will be confirmed before the Engineer accepts the job.
3.2 Unless otherwise stated, the Engineer's charge is payable directly by the customer to the Engineer.
3.3 QuickFix-Repairs does not collect, hold or process the Engineer's payment for work carried out at the property.
3.4 The Engineer is responsible for providing their own payment methods and, where appropriate, invoices or receipts to the customer.
3.5 Any work required beyond the agreed initial attendance or first-hour charge must be discussed directly with the customer.
3.6 The Engineer must obtain the customer's agreement to any additional labour charges, parts, materials or additional work before those additional costs are incurred.
3.7 QuickFix-Repairs is not responsible for collecting unpaid Engineer charges from customers.
4. QuickFix-Repairs Booking Fee
4.1 QuickFix-Repairs may charge the customer a separate booking or introduction fee for arranging the service.
4.2 The QuickFix-Repairs booking fee is separate from the Engineer's charges.
4.3 The Engineer has no entitlement to any part of the QuickFix-Repairs booking fee unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
4.4 The Engineer must not represent the QuickFix-Repairs booking fee as payment for the Engineer's labour, parts or materials.
5. Engineer Responsibilities

7.2 Where the Engineer operates through a company or other trade business, appropriate insurance should cover the person attending the customer's property and the work being undertaken.
7.3 QuickFix-Repairs may request evidence of insurance, qualifications, registrations or other credentials.
8. Customer Relationship
8.1 Once the Engineer attends the property, the trade services carried out by the Engineer are provided independently by the Engineer to the customer.
8.2 The Engineer is responsible for the quality, safety and legality of their own work.

9.2 If additional work, time, parts or materials are required, the Engineer must explain these to the customer and obtain approval before proceeding.
9.3 The Engineer is responsible for setting and communicating their charges for additional work and materials.
9.4 QuickFix-Repairs is not responsible for disputes arising from additional charges that have been agreed directly between the Engineer and customer.
10. Cancellations & Failed Attendance
10.1 If an Engineer accepts a job but subsequently cannot attend, they must notify QuickFix-Repairs as soon as reasonably possible.
10.2 Repeated failure to attend accepted jobs, unreasonable lateness, or failure to communicate may result in the Engineer no longer receiving job introductions.
10.3 Engineers should not arrange for another person to attend in their place without first informing QuickFix-Repairs, particularly where qualifications or registrations are required.
11. Customer Complaints
11.1 If QuickFix-Repairs receives a complaint concerning an Engineer's work, conduct or charges, we may contact the Engineer for information.
11.2 The Engineer agrees to cooperate reasonably in resolving complaints relating to services they have provided.
11.3 Responsibility for rectifying defective workmanship remains with the Engineer or trade business that carried out the work where legally applicable.
11.4 QuickFix-Repairs may stop providing job introductions to an Engineer where serious or repeated complaints arise.
12. Conduct
Engineers must treat customers, their property and QuickFix-Repairs staff professionally and respectfully.
QuickFix-Repairs reserves the right to stop offering jobs to an Engineer in circumstances including serious misconduct, dishonesty, threatening or abusive behaviour, unsafe working practices, fraudulent activity, or conduct likely to place customers or QuickFix-Repairs at unreasonable risk.
13. Customer Information & Data Protection
13.1 Customer information supplied by QuickFix-Repairs is provided solely for the purpose of fulfilling the relevant job and legitimate associated administration.
13.2 Engineers must handle customer information responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

15.4 QuickFix-Repairs remains responsible for its own obligations and nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
